If you’re curious about why AWARE Hair had to be made, it all started because I was unable to find a professional product line that met all my “must-haves”. So, I decided to create it myself — a huge undertaking that has evolved into a mission to change the beauty industry for the better.

What most people don’t realize is The Dangers of Synthetic Fragrance. Most companies rely on synthetic scents, which are widely available and easier to use, but can contain over 3,000 chemicals harmful to your health. After years of using products with these harsh chemicals, I realized the damage they have done to my health and to the health of fellow professionals.  “Once you know, you can’t un-know” – so I searched for a professional haircare brand that is effective without any synthetic perfumes and other harmful ingredients. Even brands that market themselves “all natural,” still use synthetic fragrances. After years of trying different products, I came up empty. I knew I needed to make a change.

From then, my goal was clear: to create the best products that I would want to use on myself, my loved ones, and you. AWARE Hair is the first professional line that is natural-first, effective, and concentrated in active ingredients. I intentionally curated this collection to focus only on the essentials, starting with a shampoo, conditioner, and leave-in styling conditioner. Developed in partnership with leading chemists, these formulations are designed to deliver all 9 essential functions for optimal scalp and hair health. 

And, unlike 99% of beauty products on the market, 9·1 Professional is free of synthetic fragrances. The natural scent we chose is complex and unique—an experience in itself. I’m crazy about it, and I hope you’ll love it as much as I do.
